My Seven-Point Blueprint

Economy

To boost our economy, it is expedient that the government mobilises massive revenue generation opportunities. As such, I will support investment in human capital, infrastructure, industry, and agricultural modernization.

Education

In time past, our focus as a nation in education has been restricted to the classrooms alone. If we truly want to see our nation transform at a consistent pace, we must invest in our human capital by means of academic and vocational training. I will support the acquisition of requisite skills that would serve as an advantage for my people to make ends meet.  

As for individuals with innovative ideas, funds will be made available and accessible to transform their creative ideas into innovations. Relevant skill acquisition programs will be rolled out to ensure that craftsmen and women can update their skills for the efficient discharge of responsibilities.

Agriculture and Food Security

Agriculture currently contributes significantly to Oyo State’s economy, consisting of 38% gross state product (GSP) and providing job opportunities to approximately 70% of the workforce.

I will make it my responsibility to invest in the agricultural sector in my constituency by providing financial support for farmers. This is not just restricted to the growth of the economy but it will serve as a poverty alleviation scheme.

My team and I will work on ensuring the standardisation of our farm produce, such as cashew and mango, to meet international market standards, as well as research and scout opportunities for ready market for them.

Infrastructure Environment / Urban Development

Having farm produce without roads to ply them will in no way boost the economy of a nation. I will make it a priority to push for the speedy completion of the Ogbomoso – Oyo highway, to expand our community’s opportunity to economic activities. As an individual, I consider an investment in the infrastructure of a community as an investment in the members of the community in itself.

Healthcare

“Health is wealth”. In the absence of good health, the development of any economy will only remain a mirage. I will ensure that adequate attention is given to the healthcare service centers in my constituency.

There will be restoration of medical centres experiencing a decline in their services due to lack or shortage of medical facilities, medical personnel, equipment, and/or drugs.

I will support legislation prioritises women and the elderly in accessing healthcare facilities.

Social Inclusion and Gender Parity

Social inclusion and gender parity are about providing equal opportunities for men and women, boys and girls, and redressing the disadvantages of vulnerable and marginalized groups. The welfare of women and the elderly are two major areas of inclusion our constituency can benefit from.

Frequent sporting activities will be organized to harness the skills and potential of our youth. I will support legislation for the establishment of social trust funds targeted at people living with disabilities.

I will also support the enactment and enforcement of the legislation on gender-based violence.

ICT

Information and communication technology have become integral to our day-to-day activities. In this new age, ICT tools are required to navigate the world and propel the next generation towards a digital world and give them a better growing chance. This will also ensure their effective contribution to the growth of our economy.

To this end, I will facilitate digital trainings and workshop to equip our youth with requisite ICT skills.
