MY MANIFESTO
Dear good people of Ogbomoso,
A few years ago, precisely between 2017 and 2019. I served as Caretaker Chairman and later, the Executive Chairman of Ogbomoso North Local Government. During my service years, I felt the heartbeat of the people – the traders, farmers, market women, students, and the elderly.
Being the closest tier of government to the people, my tenure afforded me a unique privilege of listening raptly to your yearnings and desires, the basis of which were to live in peace and harmony. To be able to live in a clean and safe environment, put food on your tables, travel on good roads, earn a honest living to be able to put good food on your tables, quality and functional education for your children, and affordable healthcare. Primarily, basic human needs.
The questions that kept me awake at night were; How can I help? What can I do?
As Chairman, I woke up every day with the same commitment and determination to meet my people’s needs. I braced myself and put in the work, using the limited resources at my disposal to solve one fundamental problem after the other. Here are some of my achievements within the period:
- Bank of Agriculture (BOA); which created the potential for a huge number of jobs.
- Market – This stimulated opportunities for trade and commercial activities in the town.
Limited resources is not a reason to sit back and do nothing. It is a challenge and a reason that I am at the helm of affairs – to make something of the little my people have. My people have been victims for far too long – victims of circumstances, victims of poor leadership, and victims of bad governance.
It is for these reasons and more that I am giving myself to be of service to you, by declaring my intention to represent the good people of Ogbomoso North, Ogbomoso South, and Oriire Federal Constituency at the Federal House of Representatives under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
My academic and professional background has undoubtedly prepared me for the challenges of the position. My second degree in service management coupled with professional experience in Agriculture, Oil & Gas, and Information technology have adequately made me the best man for the job of bringing the dividends of democracy to you.
I represent a new generation of leaders, trailblazers, and pathfinders. My exemplary and exceptional leadership skills compared to my challengers are unmatched: I have lived with you, know your pain, I know the way, and with your support, I will represent you the best way that is possible.
I am committed to providing solutions to your most pressing needs, and as such, I hope to facilitate bills and motions that address the issues you have told me about. They will become what they really are, and not a luxury; basic necessities of life. From these, I have culled my manifesto, and with your support, I will bring the dividends of government to you.
The time to restore and renew our hope in Nigeria is here. The time to change our story is now. The power is in your hands, the power is in your votes.
In my desire to represent you, my good people of Ogbomoso North, South and Oriire federal constituency, at the federal house of representatives, I have, therefore, crafted my manifesto around your issues.
MY MANIFESTO
Infrastructure
– Roads: I will ensure the completion of the Ibadan/Ogbomoso highway.
I will lobby for the upgrade and maintenance of all major roads in and leading to Ogbomoso.
- Electricity: I will facilitate the installation of solar energy for electricity.
- Water: I will install borehole facilities at every xxkm within my constituencies.
Education
I will provide bursaries and scholarships to support students for online and in person academic and vocational education. I hope to achieve a 60% increase in University graduates in 4 years.
Youth Empowerment
I will empower the youth through sports, IT, jobs, SME support to improve their chances at a better life.
Health
I will build and rehabilitate healthcare centres in each of the constituency I represent and also provide special support for women and children.
Agriculture
I will constantly empower our farmers in order to expand market for our products.
My team and I will work fervently to deliver these promises to you.
