Olamijuwonlo Ayodeji Alao-Akala is a proactive new generation leader. He can be best described as an embodiment of his late father, the former Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency (Dr.) Christopher Adebayo Alao-Akala, whose life was a service to people. Like a house that rose out of debris, Olamijuwonlo has taken the baton of people-centric politics with strong regard to spreading hope and dividends of democracy to the common man.
Olamijuwonlo is a progressive politician, born on September 9th, 1985. He is a member representing Ogbomoso North, South and Oriire Federal Constituency” at the Federal House of Representatives
Oriire Federal Constituency, CEO of TDB Global Venture Limited, Chairman of Parrot FM Radio Station, and a Board Member of Olowolagba Microfinance Bank. He is married to Hadiza AlaoAkala, daughter of the billionaire industrialist Chief Razak Akanni Okoya. They are blessed with lovely Twins.
‘Lamijuwonlo had his secondary school education and experience at Federal Government College, Ogbomoso and Rainbow College, Surulere, Lagos state. Thereafter, he obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer and Information Science at Lead City University, Ibadan. His tenacious progressive spirit was put to practice during the 2008/2009 NYSC Scheme, when as an IT Consultant, he consistently promoted technology in the Oyo State Government Secretariat. He, then, proceeded to the reputable University of Buckingham, United Kingdom, where he bagged a Master’s degree in Service Management.
Olamijuwonlo’s political career became notable with his profound interest in the welfare of the people of Oyo State as Adviser to and protege of his father during his administration as Executive Governor of Oyo State. His early political exposure gave him a formidable platform to build his political awareness and selfless humanitarian service.
Having gained popularity in Oyo State, distinctly in Ogbomoso, he was appointed the Caretaker Chairman of Ogbomoso North Local Government by the Former Governor of Oyo State, Senator Abiola Ajimobi (the youngest to be appointed into that office in the history of Local Government Administration in Oyo State). On May 12, 2018, Olamijuwonlo was elected the 20th Executive Chairman of Ogbomoso North Local Government.
The administration led by Olamijuwonlo Alao-Akala experienced tremendous progress. His administration resurrected the economy, commissioned infrastructural projects, revitalized agricultural practice to modern standard, directly improved civil servants’ standard of living. He was, evidently, able to bring the system closer to the people, with a special focus on widows and the youth.
His years of experience, socio-political acumen, nation-building spirit, compassion, and philanthropy won him a firm grassroots-credibility and unparalleled love from his people – the bedrock upon which his personality and political career are built.
