Olamijuwonlo Ayodeji Alao-Akala is a proactive new-generation leader, embodying the legacy of his late father, His Excellency (Dr.) Christopher Adebayo Alao-Akala, former Governor of Oyo State, whose life was dedicated to serving the people. Rising from a strong political heritage, Olamijuwonlo has embraced the responsibility of people-centric governance, prioritizing the spread of hope and the dividends of democracy to the common man. Born on September 9, 1985, he currently represents Ogbomoso North, South, and Oriire Federal Constituency at the Federal House of Representatives. Alongside his political career, he is an astute entrepreneur, serving as the CEO of TDB Global Venture Limited, Chairman of Parrot FM Radio Station, and a Board Member of Olowolagba Microfinance Bank. He is married to Hadiza Alao-Akala, daughter of billionaire industrialist Chief Razak Akanni Okoya, and they are blessed with twins.

Olamijuwonlo received his secondary education at Federal Government College, Ogbomoso, and Rainbow College, Surulere, Lagos State. He went on to obtain a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer and Information Science from Lead City University, Ibadan. During his 2008/2009 National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) scheme, his passion for technology and governance was evident as he served as an IT Consultant, consistently promoting technological advancements at the Oyo State Government Secretariat. Furthering his education, he earned a Master’s degree in Service Management from the prestigious University of Buckingham, United Kingdom.

His political career began with a deep commitment to the welfare of the people of Oyo State, learning under the guidance of his father during his tenure as Governor. This early exposure to governance provided him with a strong foundation in political awareness and humanitarian service. His influence grew, particularly in Ogbomoso, where he gained grassroots support. Recognizing his leadership potential, former Oyo State Governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, appointed him as the Caretaker Chairman of Ogbomoso North Local Government—the youngest person to ever hold the position in Oyo State’s history. On May 12, 2018, he was elected as the 20th Executive Chairman of Ogbomoso North Local Government, ushering in an era of significant progress. His administration revived the local economy, commissioned key infrastructural projects, modernized agricultural practices, and improved the livelihoods of civil servants. With a special focus on widows and youth empowerment, he brought governance closer to the people.

In 2023, Olamijuwonlo took his leadership to the national level as he was elected to the House of Representatives, where he currently serves as the Chairman of the House Committee on Youth in Parliament. His dedication to community development extends beyond politics, as he actively contributes to various philanthropic initiatives, including education, sports development, and infrastructural improvements.
